26th Turin Library Garage Sale Day Slated for May 7th and Two New Displays!

The Turin  Library will be holding their 26th Annual Garage Sale Day on May 7th from 8:30-3:00.  Join us for a fun day of garage sales, book sale, great food, and more!  We will have over 33 garage sales throughout the village and surrounding areas.  This year it will be set up slightly different.  The maps, donuts, coffee and bake sale, and book sale will be at the library and the Turin Firemen will be having the chicken barbecue. They will also be holding an Open House throughout the day, with Search and Rescue, Fire and Ambulance Demonstrations, and Blood Pressure checks.

Anyone interested in helping at the library may contact us at 348-6433.  Volunteers are always appreciated, whether it be for the day or just an hour or two.  Also, bakers are needed for the bake sale.  Anyone interested in baking may drop off their items at the library that morning by 9:00. Also stop in and enjoy our Student Art Display and vote for the "Patron's Choice Awards".  We also have two new displays.... antique tools on loan by Mary Gydesen, and handmade/hewn black ash splint baskets made by Charlotte Nye.  Come and see what wonderfully talented people we have in the area!
