Fall Activities at the Library!

We have a lot of great activities coming up at the library.... Turin Town Historian Patricia Wiedrick has graciously let the library borrow some wonderful scrapbooks from the town archives of the 1950s to the 70s.  Stop in and enjoy these delightful treaure troves to reminesce about days gone past! The Boonville Chapter of the DAR has set up a wonderful display for "Constitution Week".  Come in and enjoy it and try to take a test or do a puzzle about the constitution. We have a flu shot clinic on Wednesday, October 2nd from 4:30 to 6:00. Come and "take a shot" with Walgreens! ( No waiting!) Our Thirsty Painters Party on Friday, October 18th at 6:00 filled right up within days. Sorry we can't take anymore. Participants will paint two snowy birds on a branch (on barn board). It can be a winter or Christmas scene. If you signed up, let us know if you aren't interested in that type of painting, so we can take you off and let someone on the waiting list in. On Saturday, October 19th from 5:30-7:00, we are participating in the Great Library Give Back! More details to follow, but the library is sponsoring a fall photo booth at Dig & Push. Kids young and old are invited to come and get some photos taken, but also South Lewis students on their way to Homecoming can stop in for photos as well! We will provide you with free photos a few days later. On Halloween night, the library will be open with treats and activities for those that are out and about trick or treating. BUT..... weather permitting, we will also have an Outdoor Movie from 7:00-8:30!!!! Just watch as you pass by, or watch the whole thing! It might be scary!!! An Open Mic Night will be held on Friday, November 22 from 7:00-9:00. All talent is encouraged.... poetry, singing, instruments, jokes, whatever! Or just come and watch those that will be performing. Refreshments will be served.
