Hungrytown folk duo on Friday, June 7th at 7:00

Hungrytown (folk duo from Vermont) will be returning to the Turin Library on Friday, June 7th at 7:00. Join us for a free evening of wonderful music and fun with these award winning, world traveling performers.  We had them last year, and loved them so much, we had to have them again!

Lisa Nortz of Silver Bench Returns!

Join us on Thursday, May 9th at 6:00 to learn about jewelry making with Lisa Nortz.  We have loved her so much she is returning for a third year!  She will show us some tricks about silversmithing, and participants can make a charm to take home for just a $5.00 donation.  Lisa will also have her beautiful jewelry for sale as well.  Come young and old to learn a new skill, maybe make a Mother's Day present!

Turin Annual Garage Sale Day Slated for May 4th

Our annual Garage Sale Day is slated for May 4th from 8:30-3:00.  Join us at the library first thing for coffee, donuts, baked goods and to get your map of the local sales.  Then enjoy shopping around the surrounding area and come back to the firehall for the firemen's famous chicken barbecue dinner!  The library will be holding their giant book sale all day long.  If you are interested in baking for our bake sale, just bring the items to the library by 9:00.  Any help is greatly appreciated as the money raised goes to our Friends Group" and is necessary to continue our wonderful programmin

Pav's Presentation on Serbia!

Join us on Thursday, April 18th at 7:00 for a great evening learning about the Serbian culture, customs, and history!  Pavle Jovanovic, (a South Lewis Serbian exchange student living here in Turin with the Liendecker family) will be here to answer questions and entertain us with Serbian facts.  He is a wonderful student with a great personality and sense of humor, it should be a very entertaining evening!

Mohawk Nation Singers Coming to the Library on March 15th at 6:00

Wonderful Native American Singers are coming to the Turin Library on Friday, March 15th at 6:00. The Ahkwesahsne Women Singers is an award winning traditional women's singing group from the Mohawk Nation. They share songs of the Earth to keep their language alive. They will tell stories, sing songs, share dances, and even encourage audience participation!

  

Memories of Snow Ridge through the Years!

We are very excited to have a special program on the history of Snow Ridge on Saturday, March 2nd at 6:00.  There will be slides from when it started in 1945 through the years until now.  The authors of "White Magic- the Story of Snow Ridge Ski Area" (Jerome Britton and Bronny Davis) will be in attendance to answer questions or comment on the photos.  We are encouraging everyone to come and enjoy this program and to share their wonderful memories of Snow Ridge as well.  

Student Art Show at the Library Through Friday, March 1st

Stop into the library during our regular hours to see the wonderful artwork of our South Lewis students.  People are voting for their favorite art piece for middle and high school, and elementarty school.  The "Patron's Choice Awards" will be revealed on Frida,y March 1st at our Final Reception.  Stop in anytime between 7-9:00 that night to see the award winners, visit with some of the artists and teachers, and enjoy the live music of Play Me Studio students!

Christmas Basket Winner is Silas Luther!

Silas Luther is the winner of our Annual Christmas Basket Raffle!  The basket was overflowing with fun Christmas items. Congratulations Silas, hope you loved it!
