2020 Student Art Show People's Choice Award Winners!

The winners of our 2020 Student Art Show are... 1st place for high school is Morgen Hungerford, 2nd Chloe Hunziker, 3rd Frankie Schwab and Honorable Mention Chloe Hunziker.  The elementary winners are 1st place, Reegan Millard, 2nd Adalyn Hill, 3rd Shawn Whoop and Honorable Mention is Emilee Tucker.  Thanks for coming and voting, see you next year!!

Snow Ridge History Through Photos Saturday, February 22nd at 6:00

Join us for a great slide show of Snow Ridge from the 1960's forward!  Bronny Davis and Jerome Britton are graciously sharing their photo collection for their book White Magic: The History of Snow Ridge.  We started last year from 1945 when the William's built it, and made it to the 60's. This year we are starting from where we left off and moving on.  Come and reminisce with us, ask Bronny and Jerry questions, enjoy some refreshments and share some skiing stories of "The Ridge"!

Student Art Show at the Library February 3rd Through Friday, February 28th

Stop into the library during our regular hours to see the wonderful artwork of our South Lewis students.  People are voting for their favorite art piece for middle and high school, and elementarty school.  The "Patron's Choice Awards" will be revealed on Friday, February 28th at our Final Reception.  Stop in anytime between 7-9:00 that night to see the award winners, visit with some of the artists and teachers, and enjoy the live music of Play Me Studio students!

Christmas Fun at the Library!

Our tree was decorated by some great kids, and soon the Christmas Village will be up.  Our Community Christmas Party will be on Sunday the 15th.  Face painting will start at 5:30 and Santa arrives at 6:00!  Join us for a great evening of fun and food.  There will even be gifts for the kids, so come and visit with your neighbors.  Christmas Caroling will be on December 21st at 2:00.  Meet at the library if you are interested.  We have two fundraisers for the Friends Group.  Our annual Christmas Basket raffle has started.  Tickets are available at the library and at the Turin Post Office.  Th

Homecoming Harvest Photo Stop

People of all ages are invited to Dig N Push on Saturday, October 19th for fun fall photos. This event is sponsored by the Turin Library for "The Great Library Give Back"! Our photographer will be there from 5:30-7:00 for people to stop in for fun fall photos. Even high schoolers on their way to Homecoming can stop in on their way to the dance. Photos will be available in a few days for pick up for free!!

Fall Activities at the Library!

We have a lot of great activities coming up at the library.... Turin Town Historian Patricia Wiedrick has graciously let the library borrow some wonderful scrapbooks from the town archives of the 1950s to the 70s.  Stop in and enjoy these delightful treaure troves to reminesce about days gone past! The Boonville Chapter of the DAR has set up a wonderful display for "Constitution Week".  Come in and enjoy it and try to take a test or do a puzzle about the constitution. We have a flu shot clinic on Wednesday, October 2nd from 4:30 to 6:00.

"Great Library Give Back" at Dig and Push!

The Turin Library is thrilled to participate in "The Great Library Give Back" by sponsoring a South Lewis Homecoming photo booth at Dig and Push on East Main in Turin. This community event will be on October 19th.  Watch for further details.

Digeridoo Down Under!

Didgeridoo Down Under is coming to the Turin Library on Wed. July 17th at 6:30.  Learn about Australia and it’s music, animals and culture through humor, music, and audience participation! Raihan discovered the didgeridoo in 2005, and has been a Didgeridoo Down Under performer, traveling around the world since 2008.
